Baked Goods – Due to COVID-19 we will not have baked goods at the 2020 Fair. We are hopeful to include baked goods in 2021!

Calling all bakers for our old-fashion bake sale…

LOCATION:  The Old Mill 

If you make delicious brownies, cakes or pies we would love to have you consign your baked goods at the Old Mill Shop during the Fair.

Print the application and return it to the office with the registration fee ($15). You may fill out the application on the computer and print or print blank copies and fill out by hand. Checks should be made payable “Waterford Foundation” and mailed to Waterford Foundation, PO Box 142, Waterford, VA 20197.

Pricing: items must be priced with round numbers, in no less than 25-cent increments. Items tagged “$8.79” or “$8.95” are not acceptable. Items tagged “$8.75” or “$9.00” are acceptable.

Food Labels: please label items with your name, contact (email or phone), ingredients and dietary specific notes (i.e., gluten, dairy, egg, nut free or vegan).  If your kitchen is not licensed for commercial use also include the following “Baked goods prepared in an uninspected kitchen.”

Packaging: items can be packaged in individual portions or whole, as appropriate for a family to enjoy. Please make sure items are securely wrapped or boxed as fair-goers will consume items both at the Fair and take them home to enjoy later.

Please note that wet items such as cheesecake, custards or meringue are not accepted.

Fee: the entry fee is $15 per consignor.

Commission: the commission on total sales is 25% and payment checks will be mailed out by November 28, 2019. The check will be made payable to the name on the entry.

Volunteer: If you are interested in volunteering please check the box on the application or contact the fair office at [email protected]. Volunteers who work a minimum of a 4 hour shift during the Fair receives free entry the day they volunteer and a Fair ticket for another day.

The Waterford Fair is the primary fundraiser for the Waterford Foundation, whose mission is preservation and education on rural life in the National Historic Landmark village of Waterford. Thank you for participating and supporting our mission!

Important Dates

  • Application deadline: September 21, 2019
  • Drop off: October 4, 5 & 6; each morning between 7 – 8 am
  • Pick up unsold items: October 6; between 5 – 6 pm if you are not donating items to food pantry
