My handcrafted Holiday Chalkware figurines are inspired by the original chalkware pieces made in Europe a century ago. They are created from my collection of antique chocolate molds; most of which are German and French and date from 1880 to 1920.

I am a self-taught artist. Through my research I was unable to find any information describing how the originals were made. However, through trial and error, I developed my own techniques. The entire process is done by hand, by myself.

I am honored to have been selected by Early American Life Magazine’s Holiday Directory of Traditional Craftsmen for 2012, 2014 and 2015. I enjoy taking the time necessary to give each of my creations its own unique character. I hope that my chalkware figurines will become treasured Holiday keepsakes.
