Gavin Glakas

The Principle Gallery

Glakas studied art at Washington University in St. Louis, the Slade School of Art in London, and with Danni Dawson and Robert Liberace. His work has been featured in the Washington Post and NBC News and hangs in the permanent collections of the US Senate, the House of Representatives, the Virginia State Capitol, Georgetown and George Washington Universities, and numerous other collections both public and private. He has painted portraits of Terry McAuliffe and Senator Harry Reid has agreed to be our judge for the Fine Art Cometition at Schooley Mill Barn this year!

Glakas is represented by Principle Gallery of Alexandria, VA, and Charleston, SC, and he teaches drawing and painting at the Yellow Barn Studio in Glen Echo, MD. He lives with his wife and two barnstorming sons in McLean, VA.
