Welcome to the 2024 Waterford Fair!

Tickets on sale August 1st | Kids 12 and under FREE!

Oct. 4-6, 10 am – 5 pm | Early Bird ticket Friday ONLY, 9 am

Come shop, play, tour and make memories during this 80-year-old tradition — the Waterford Foundation’s “Waterford Fair”! The Fair is the mid-Atlantic’s quintessential fall festival with demonstrating fine heritage & contemporary craft artisans, living historians, a juried art show, historic properties tour, local libations, and entertainment for all ages.

List of application deadlines for the 81st Waterford Fair

A National Treasure | 1733

Located in the National Historic Landmark of Waterford (f. 1733), this unique village is situated in Western Loudoun County, Virginia. Noted as “DC’s Wine Country”, we are only 55 minutes from the District of Columbia.

Event proceeds support the preservation and education efforts of the Waterford Foundation, a 501(c)(3).

Historic Homes Tour

Homes on tour during the 2024 Waterford Fair will be marked with signs in the Village. Locations can be found in the Fair booklet, which will be available on-site.

Strolling the Village, find many other performers and historical interpreters including musicians, illusionist, soldiers camp, perfumer, and more!

Delicious foods are available throughout the village so you can have meals, indulge in treats and buy home-made and artisan goods to take home.

The fair always features local beer and wine offerings for you to enjoy with your meals or while enjoying great American music and entertainment.

The Waterford Fair is a great place to bring kids for a day of unplugged fun.

Children 12 and under are FREE with an adult ticket purchase!

Download the Waterford Explorer Passport and bring it to the Fair for a good old fashioned scavenger hunt.

Best Demonstrating Artisan 2023

Amy & Joe Witmer

Amy and Joe are passionate artisans dedicated to preserving and creating Colonial, Traditional, and Historic items by hand. They specialize in crafting solid beeswax heirloom collectible figures and ornaments using traditional German techniques of molding and carving beeswax, a skill dating back to the early 1500s. They support local apiaries and manage their own honeybee hives to ensure they use the highest quality beeswax. 

Stop by their tent, just outside the Old School, to learn more about their work and art.

2024 Fine Art Judge Eric Westbrook

We are pleased to announce that painter, illustrator, and art instructor Eric Westbrook will be judging our fine art entries this year!

Eric lives and works in the Washington DC area. His current and former teaching venues include The Yellow Barn at Glen Echo, The Smithsonian, and VisArts in Rockville, MD. He is an experienced judge of art shows and competitions.
