Fiber/Textiles

ARTISAN-SEAL
Landmark Artisan

Lavorgne’s work is created from wire and wool. It begins with a self made wire armature which is then wrapped with wool roving. She uses wool that she dyed and then creates different creatures from sheep to mice to cats to dogs, and holiday items like lighted Christmas scenes and Santa. Her work is mostly self taught and she has been creating for over 30 years. Lavorgne uses other natural materials for accents such as allspice, dried flowers, etc. Her work has been featured in several museums over the years, many magazines and news articles.
